Forensic Counseling

Individual Forensic Counseling is very similar to typical individual counseling however the criminal legal system is woven into everything we do.

My clients may be those who have been mandated to treatment by the court or the family of those currently navigating the criminal justice system.

My approach is grounded in:

  • Person-centered and trauma-informed care
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including CBT for Psychosis
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Solution-focused and strengths-based interventions
  • Psychoeducation and practical problem solving

Our sessions may focus on coping skills, building insight and understanding around navigating the criminal justice system, decision-making, navigating barriers, and building greater stability.

Sessions are provided via Telehealth or in the community with your permission.

As of 10/30/2026, I am in network with Aetna. Aetna members may be able to access covered counseling services through insurance benefits. Private pay and sliding scale are available to those receiving OHP, EBT or other government subsidy resources.
