Competency to Stand Trial Consultant:

Ravenwood Consulting provides specialized competency to stand trial services for attorneys, behavioral health providers, counties, Community Mental Health Programs (CMHPs), and other justice-system partners.

Services may include case consultation, record review, community competency consultation reports, identification of barriers affecting a person’s ability to understand and participate in legal proceedings, legal skills education, and recommendations for treatment, supports, and care coordination. Consultation may also address the impact of mental illness, substance use, developmental or cognitive differences, trauma, and other psychosocial factors on legal functioning.

Ravenwood Consulting is available to provide contracted or per diem overflow support to counties and CMHPs experiencing increased competency caseloads, staffing shortages, or temporary service gaps. Support may include community consultation interviews and reports, legal skills interventions, competency-related case review, transition planning, and coordination across courts, jails, hospitals, and community providers.

Services are tailored to local program needs and applicable Oregon competency processes.
